10 CANCELLED AEW Plans We NEVER Got To See
10. CHRIS JERICHO VS MIKE TYSON

Flashback to May, 27 2020 4 days after we saw former boxing world champion Mike Tyson present the inaugural AEW TNT Championship to Cody Rhodes at Double or Nothing.
Chris Jericho, who had previously had an encounter with Iron Mike years prior in WWE, wanted his revenge. Jericho called out Tyson on Dynamite, as the two nearly came to blows, but were separated by their respective entourages. This posed the question, what is next for the feud?
Tyson played a huge part in the pro wrestling boom of the 90’s, helping elevate Stone Cold Steve Austin and the WWF into the mainstream. It looked like AEW were going to follow a similar formula, even taking it one step further by having him step into the ring for a match.
Chris Jericho was pencilled in to face Mike Tyson at the second annual All Out show, which would have been a huge get for AEW. Although it could be argued Mike Tyson’s pulling power isn’t what it used to be, the 1.2million PPV buys his recent exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr drew shows he can certainly turn a few heads.
