Ember Moon Set To Challenge AEW’s Thunder Rosa
Just yesterday, Ember Moon’s WWE 90-day non-compete clause expired meaning she is now free to work for another wrestling promotion, and the former NXT Women’s Champion didn’t wait around.
Ember, now going by her former indy name of Athena, has been announced for an upcoming Warrior Wrestling show in Cicero, Illinois.
In a video posted to social media, Athena would confront AEW star and current Warrior Womens Champion Thunder Rosa, accepting an open challenge for the belt.
The match is set to take place on February 12th at the Cicero Stadium at the Warrior Wrestling 19 event, and will mark Athena’s first post-WWE match since September 13th, 2015.
Ember Moon is one of many names’ fans expect to join All Elite Wrestling at some point in the future, with her adding a ton of talent and star power to their women’s division, and perhaps this match will be a sign of things to come.
