Released WWE Star Makes AEW Debut Tonight

A WWE Superstar has been let go from the company and will be appearing on AEW Dynamite tonight.
Yesterday evening, Fightful Select reported that Brian Kendrick had received his release from WWE and was no longer under contract, this following a recent request from the talent to be let go from the company.
Shortly after the report, AEW would announce Kendrick for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The company would tweet:
“In his #AEW debut, @mrbriankendrick will face the toughest of tests tomorrow night on #AEWDynamite LIVE @ 8pm ET/7pm CT on @TBSNetwork when he goes one-on-one with former AEW World Champion @JonMoxley! Jon Moxley vs Brian Kendrick tomorrow night LIVE on Wednesday Night Dynamite!,”
There is currently no word on if Kendrick is under AEW contract.
This will be his first match since the October 30th edition of 205 Live, where he teamed with Mansoor to defeat now-AEW tag team 2point0.
Last year, Kendrick announced he would be semi-retiring from wrestling to transition into a Producer role in WWE, whilst still wrestling part-time. It remains to be seen if he will now return to full-time action, although we will likely know soon enough.
Here is card for the rest of tonight’s AEW Dynamite from Chicago, Illinois from the Windtrust Arena.
